Hotfix for ITarian Platform & Comodo Client Security (2021-10-06)

Hello everyone,

We want to inform you that we will have a hotfix release over Endpoint Manager and Comodo Client - Security on 6th of October 2021 (Wednesday). The release is expected to take 5 minutes to deploy, during that time, we don’t expect any outage. If you observe any issues, please feel free to share with us.

Here are the items that are included in the hotfix.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the issue of incorrect grammar in notification emails
  • Fixed the issue of not being able to open Endpoint Manager from iOS devices.
  • Fixed the issue of Vulnerability dashboard widget representation.

Patch Management

  • Fixed the issue of detecting x86 instead of x64 architecture for 3rd party applications.
  • Fixed the issue of Patch Compliance percentage bar shows incorrect value even if all patches are installed.
Comodo Client Security

New Features

  • CIS Report Tool Improvements
    • From now on, CIS Report tool collects much more different kinds of data in order to better understand the problematic area(s) whenever an issue occurs. Moreover, EDR logs are now being collected.
  • Ability to Turn On/Off HIPS and Firewall Application Rules
    • HIPS and Firewall rules can now be turned off, which will allow users to temporarily or permanently disable rule(s) without deletion.
  • Block Option for SQL Script Execution via Virtualized OSQL and SQLCMD
    • SQL script executions by some applications via OSQL and SQLCMD can now be blocked.
  • Synchronous Local Verdict Server Lookup Option
    • From now on, Comodo Client – Security can be configured to use synchronous Local Verdict Server lookup, which will ensure that a file has the most recent rating.
  • Termination of Entire Process Tree Instead of a Single Process of Malware
    • From now on, when a malicious process is detected, the entire process tree can be terminated instead of the only termination of the malicious process.
Bugfixes
  • Different behavior for an application running inside and outside of Containment (Kryptik not working in containment)
  • Unable to type Chinese symbols in Containment
  • One of Comodo Client – Security processes causing performance issues on the platform

  • Fixed the issue of notification emails r not being sent.
  • Fixed the issue of applying the wrong discount for postpaid invoices.
