Problem installing EndPoint client on Linux devices

Hello,

We are experiencing issues when attempting to install the EndPoint client onto Linux (specifically Kali and Ubuntu) clients.

We manually download the client installer, reset the permissions as per instructions, however the installation fails with:

root@xxxxx:~/Desktop# ./installer.run
Verifying archive integrity… 100% All good.
Uncompressing Linux ITSM Agent/6.25.21662.19010 100%
systemd system
Can’t extract url from config
enter enroll url and press [ENTER]:

Any ideas on this?

We have tried to enter our mdm.comodo.com domain as the URL, however that fails also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

KALI VERSION INFO: Linux hercules 4.19.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.13-1kali1 (2019-01-03) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Hello @reCIPHERgroup
For the URL, please enter the download link listed under ‘For Linux Devices’ as shown in the manual enrollment instructions. It will look something like below:

Download and install Communication Client by tapping the following link:
https://your_company-msp.cmdm.comodo.com:443/enroll/linux/run/token/xxxTokenIDGoesHerexxx
Use the same link for manual enrollment if required.

Also please be advised that Kali has unconfirmed compatibility with the Endpoint Manager (EM) agent. To see a list of fully supported Linux distributions, please check under SETTINGS >> Support in the EM page.

I will confirm this issue. Centos 7 box:

@jpps ,

By any chance, did you rename the installation package? The package contains a specific authorization token that must not be modified.

Nope. Followed directions exactly.
