  • Patch Management

    Hi Chaps & Chapesses

I need to deploy patches to 1) a test server & 2) after a number of days to the production servers
I wish to automate the deployment of the patches to Production automatically after a number of days, say 7 days.
So the deployment will be in two stages, automatically but a number of days apart

I can do the auto deploy in the first instance to a test server,
    Q) but how do I build in a delay?

    Happy Comodo'ing
    Thanks in advance
    Dave.....

    torkekhq ,

What you can do is schedule a Patch Procedure. This will control the patch deployment on your production endpoints. You will need to first clone your custom profile (if you are using the same for the 2 servers) and create a separate schedule. The end result will be ( Server 1 + Custom Profile + Patch Schedule) (Production + Custom profile + different Patch Schedule )

I still haven't really started using PM properly, how do we also stop end points updating from the software vendors' own systems automatically before the PM schedule's dates? This applies to MS and 3rd patches.

this is possible like Jimmy but there has been issues with patching which should be fixed in the 13/04/2019 release.
