  • How to login in MS Server if <ctrl+alt+del> button is inactive

I tried to start Remote Desktop session on MS Server 2008, however I wasn't be able to login on server as the button to send hot key <Ctrl+Alt+Del> is inactive constantly.

They might seem grey out but could be active. Could you please try to click on CTRL + ALT, then you need to put DEL from keyboard.

On new release (next week), CTRL + ALT + DEL combination would be on there.

      Hi llker,
      Thank you for response.

I tried to perform your solution by clicking Ctrl + Alt on RemoteDesktop console and pushing Del on keyboard, however it doesn't help (look at picture).
As you can see there is an inactive button CTRL+ALT+DEL (in a frame).

Can confirm I have been able to use the Ctrl + Alt on Remote Desktop console and pushing Del on keyboard. Tried on a Windows 8 PC, Windows 7 PC and Windows 2003 server.
The greyed out Ctrl+Alt+Del button works on Windows 8.
Will test further on other client PCs and Windows Server 2008 and Windows 2012.
