Defragment system disks (Python)

Thank you on this one as well, @Nick!

hi,
i have the same issue here, did you guys figure out what is the problem ?

Hi @cfcsupport

Please try attached procedure for successful de-fragment

20161214-Defragmentation–Update.json (962 Bytes)

thank you.

@mkannan I can’t seem to access the attached file (“20161214-Defragmentation–Update.json”). I just get a blank screen.

Has the attached file been added to the Predefined Procedures in ITSM? I tried running the Predefined Procedure “Run Defrag on System Disk” and it doesn’t appear to work. It says it ran successfully, but the completion time is the same as the start time. The system disk is also still fragmented.

Please advise.

On a separate note, there has really only been one procedure (predefined and not) that I’ve been able to get to work correctly (and consistently). That procedure is “Uninstall Comodo Clients (Warning!)” (granted, it only removes the connection, but not the actual program). Other than that, there really hasn’t been a procedure that has worked at all. Perhaps it’s just me and not the Comodo ONE platform. I’ve been away from Comodo for a few months in hopes that some of these issues would be resolved over time, but I still can’t seem to get any of the procedures to work.

It’s definitely showing promise, but it’s still a wee bit painful that these don’t seem to work.

Hi mediamoon

Please refer ITarian Forum - ITarian Forum for defragmentation procedure code .

Please refer ITarian Forum - ITarian Forum for updated script which can uninstall ccs and ccc.

but I still can’t seem to get any of the procedures to work .It’s definitely showing promise, but it’s still a wee bit painful that these don’t seem to work.

Thanks for bringing these issues into forum . Please kindly let me know the existing scripts which are not working. We will update and publish. Sometimes script will not work due to change in process or product name .

Thanks
Kannan

Hello @mkannan,

Please pardon the extreme delay and the grief of the following. Thank you for adding the links in your response. I tried the scripts that you linked to and those didn’t work either.

The unfortunate thing is that I haven’t bothered trying any other scripts beyond the uninstall CCS and Defrag. I’ve wasted enough time trying to get these two scripts to work and I’m not ready to waste time on others only to get the same result.

Comodo One used to show promise, but now the only thing I use it for is to occasionally check the specs of an endpoint or to see if an endpoint needs a security patch. Other than that, the scripts don’t work so there’s not much more use (I rarely even use the remote desktop because even that is very inconsistent).

I’ve even had your guys take over my computer for an hour or two to see if you could get the functions to work, but even your guys couldn’t get things to work.

“Sometimes script will not work due to change in process or product name” - To me, this means that even if the script(s) work today, it’s only a matter of time before I’ll have to spend more time editing a script and test it all over again. It seems like quite a bit of time, etc.

Thank you again for trying to assist!

Hi @mediamoon

Regrets for the inconveniences.

I will check these two scripts and update you as soon as possible. Also, we will cross check all scripts posted so far in the short span of time.

Please bear with us.

Thanks

I can tell you that the defragmentation scripts have always seemed to work for me, one that hasn’t is the delete all restore points, and create a new restore point.

Hi @BOSS

I will into the script issue in delete all restore points, and create a new restore point

Thank you

Hi @mediamoon

Please use below mentioned procedure to perform de-fragmentation using auslogics tool.

https://forum.mspconsortium.com/forum/script-library/10365-defragment-all-disk-using-auslogics-defragmentation-tool

I am looking into another script (CCC and CCS uninstall )

Thanks,
Kannan

Hi @mediamoon

Please use below simple script to uninstall comodo clients and provide your feedback

https://forum.mspconsortium.com/foru…ecurity-client

By the way, you can also uninstall comodo clients from ITSM portal itself,

Please refer wiki guide - https://forum.mspconsortium.com/forum/products/other-comodo-products/comodo-device-management/wiki-faq-how-to/8368-wiki-how-to-uninstall-comodo-clients-while-removing-devices-from-itsm

I’ll take a look at these. Thank you again!
