How long for agent data to appear in Reports?

How long does it take to data to appear in the Roaming Agent Web Browsing Trend pages? Ive installed a roaming agent (in an environment already using the DNS filtering) and have been trying to generate some traffic to get some logs. Its been a couple of hours but nothing is showing up. Is this because the agent is inactive because its using the local DNS servers (which are forwarding on to Domes DNS?). I wasnt sure if the encrypted DNS tunnel that the agent used was active when in an environment where local DNS servers have been set in the site configuration.

DNS settings for your Roaming Agent should reflect :

  • Preferred DNS server –
  • Alternate DNS server –
These will help generate logs for your Web Browsing Trend page which should appear in real-time. Do you already have these settings in place? We may need to have this investigated if that is the case.

How can i verify that those DNS settings are being used? Ive got no log data being generated.

Will you be able to check on your Roaming Agent if cDome Shield DNS settings have been set? You can check manually by running “ipconfig /all” at the Command Prompt. If your Roaming Agent is already using the correct DNS setting, we will need to have this investigated by our developers. We will be monitoring your post so that we can have this investigated the soonest.
