Move customer to different Comodo Account

Is there a way to move customers to a different commodo / Itarian account or is the only way to re-install the agents?
We have absorbed another MSP who has also been using Comodo and want to migrate the customers into our MSP panel.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

There is a way to do it @sferley through the use of a script. We suggest that you check out this ‘migration script’ on how to accomplish your goal.

NOTE: As of this posting, there is an issue with utilizing procedures / scripts in the Endpoint Manager (EM). A fix will be applied during the scheduled update to the C1 / ITarian platform. Once that is finished, then you can test the linked script.

Rick: Thanks for this link. I guess one has to run it from the old account to migrate to new account this script.

That is correct @sferley

Ok tried this and while i can push the script to run, it isn’t actually running as I get no script output log nor anything changing on this end. Basically added/reviewed and approved the script. Ran it against a test machine and no output what-so-ever. Have you successfully run this script before?

From my first reply to you @sferley:

thanks, after digging through the forum I came across this. I will report back when I can get this to work.

Windows machine move did work. However, I noticed something odd as part of enrollment. The Endpoint Manager server URL is different from machines that had the agent installed directly vs moved. It seems to add the <client-name>.<msp-name>.cmdm.comodo.com vs just the <msp-name>.cmdm.comodo.com as per the directly installed agents. Could it be that the URL given by the enrollment portion of the script should be just the <msp-name>.cmdm.comodo.com instead of the full line?

Also is there any way to move Mac machines by any chance? It seems scripts only work for windows machines.

Thanks.

Hi @sferley ,

Thank you for reporting this case, we will further investigate this issue and we will get back to you as soon as possible through email.
