Announcement about Rollback of Comodo Client Security v11.2.0.7313

Notice

Dear customers,

As it is shared on the Forum and the portal notifications, the latest Comodo Client Security (CCS) version (11.2.0.7313) which was released on April 13th has been identified with some defects right after the release day. Then, it was removed from the portal on April 15th as an urgent intervention. Currently, the latest stable CCS version available on the portal is 11.1.0.7259. You will be receiving an e-mail about this today, as well.

Remediation

The engineering team identified the issues related to network connectivity. Hence, we strongly recommend you to downgrade the CCS agents on your endpoints to the latest or an older one in order to prevent any network issues in your environments.

  • You can remove the installed software from your endpoints using the removal scripts with and without reboot in Endpoint Manager - Procedures section and then re-install the agent in usual ways.
The Root Cause

The root cause for these issues are identified as incompatibilities between network architecture and the recent improvements on Firewall module architecture. Even though the main issues were fixed during investigation, we observed that several other issues emerged. Currently, the team is working on these issues.

Hotfix

The team is still on the issue and a new version will be provided via a hotfix in the next days. You will be notified through an email, the Forum and the portal notifications.

Best regards,

Comodo Cybersecurity Team
