The USB device i want to block is coming up as mass storage device but i can’t find “Mass storage device” in the blocked device class

The GUID that you are referring to is related with USB-connected printers. It also indicates a missing (problematic?) driver issue. Try updating the printer drivers (preferably coming from the manufacturer’s site) to remedy it. Eventually, you will end up blocking the following device class: USB storage devices.
