"Check Available Updates" as a procedure?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add “Check for Available Updates” as a procedure. I figured just pushing my update procedure would end up with my new clients updating, but that seems to be a big no. All of my new devices say the update procedure has run, but there’s no updates mentioned for patch.

I just need to figure out how to make sure the endpoints have their software patch list updated before running any patching.
