It seems the default security template doesn’t install the firewall. Is that by design and why?

It is by design for only Servers. It should install the firewall to any workstation. We have 2 reasons to not install personal firewall to a server.
- Servers are already placed inside the company network and protected with company perimeter defense technologies like network level firewalls.
- Each servers has a specific access needs and not tolerant to any outage. So, we didn’t want to install something with default settings there which in most cases would stop the execution of server jobs and will result as outage.
