The ping monitoring option needs something more. To best determine a failure in ping requests its better to perform multiple pings and then calculate a percentage to determine if the ping is “down”, “degraded”, or “up”. If this is the case, I would like to request the ability to set the number of times for the monitor to ping and an acceptable percentage before triggering an alert. An example is below.
