What file types are supported by valkyrie? Just tried to upload an MSI to receive the error message “Uploaded file type is not supported.”
Valkyrie accepts all kind of PE files including executables, dlls etc… MSI is an installation package, a special form of an installer similar to an archive file. In practice, it’s not much different than a zip file, having an autoinstaller in it.
To this extend, an endpoint connected to Valkyrie will not be able to upload an MSI file to Valkyrie. However if it is executed, and an unknown executable is extracted from that package, this file will be uploaded an analyzed.
