Limit which devices or device groups a technician can access via remote control

Hello,

I am trying to see if it is possible to have a technician that is only able to see a specific client (or clients) that I assign. I am specifically wanting the technician to log into “Remote Control by ITarian” and then to only be able to see the specific groups I assign them to. Is this currently possible? And if it is, how do I go about doing it as I haven’t been able to figure that out.

Thanks,
Terry

Hi @terry.r ,

Good day!
You can customize the permissions set for a User role.
Please click on the help guide links to learn more:

Please let us know if this helps.

Thank you.

So then the answer to my question is no? Since those pages don’t seem to state that granular control for a specific user can be granted to a specific customer group. For example, I have technician A as well as customer X and customer Y. Based on what I am seeing, I CAN NOT grant technician A remote access to customer X without also granting them remote access to customer Y?

Thank you Jimmy, you’re a rock star. I managed to figure this out with that screenshot you posted. Yes indeed the Access Scope was what I was missing. Thank you very much, this now appears to do exactly what I need it to do.

@terry.r

glad to be of help :slight_smile:
