Observation In Our DNS

We noticed that in the host file of our dns server is using localhost.cmdm.comdo.com for resolution.
Is that how it is supposed to be?

Again in the event log of the dns server there is this log “Name resolution for the name xmpp.cmdm.comodo.com times out after none of the configured DNS servers responded”
Is this as a result of the host file using localhost.cmdm.comdo.com for resolution, and does this affect the cpu resource?

Same here, maybe not in the DNS-server but after we install Comodo ITSM it changes the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts to,

127.0.0.1 localhost.cmdm.comodo.net

Hi @chales and @Noiden ,

Yes its normal. 127.0.0.1 localhost.cmdm.comodo.com is used to resolve localhost.cmdm.comdo.com only.
It shouldn’t affect another addresses and can’t cause high CPU utilization.
If you are getting this log : “Name resolution for the name xmpp.cmdm.comodo.com times out after none of the configured DNS servers responded”
Something is wrong with your DNS or in network settings.

Jay.
