OSX Keyboard With Remote Client ?

I can’t seem seem to get the keyboard mapping right for backslash. My OS is Mojave (OSX) and the main key i’m trying to get to work is the backslash key when accessing windows OS through remote control. I know i can use the on-screen keyboard but i rather not, any suggestions?

OS X will play a sound when enabling or disabling Sticky Keys and when a modifier key is pressed.

You can use some typing-keyboard programms.
