Seems like a gross oversight that installing PM causes an error on the PC that WU is turned off. There should be an option to either leave the WU untouched* or to programmatically turn off the notification.
* I’m looking at proving C1 as a free service to residentials, leaving WU intact but pushing critical updates once a month even if the client has taken no action.
