Rebranding feature in CCC and CCS (April 2018)

Also, not urgent but would it be possible to allow us to localize all english texts ? …OPS already asked.

Hello @datalink ,

Yes, the ability to change language for the entire Comodo one Web Console is scheduled in 2019Q1 release.

I think this is great! But also for me, the support url needs to be longer.

@Noiden ,

Agree.

I would like to see the field for adding our own support website into CCC expanded so that longer URLs can be used there. In my case my websites URL is too long and cannot be used. The service desk URL for the included service desk is also too long to be used there. This means that I either have to purchase an additional domain that is short enough to be used, or I have to use a shortening software (such as goo.gl (which is highly unprofessional)) in order to make the link short enough to be used in the branding. This makes it difficult for me to use the resources I already have without having to invest more time and money into creating the support website again myself.

Aside from that I would like to see branding options for the URL for the service desk, that way we can make the service desk URL look to be from our websites. I would even be happy with at least a redirect option.

Hello @flmsp
Thank you for your suggestion with extending the maximum length of the Support URL in the rebranding options. This has been forwarded already and is currently being analyzed by the product development team. We will loop you in to the feature request ticket and update you as soon as we get word from the team.

I, too, am having a problem getting the branding to take on some machines. In my case, it appears that the update did not work on servers but did for all workstation OSes. To be more specific, the first profile I modified was applied to all servers and initially it applied properly. After I went and modified the first workstation profile, I noticed that the Server profile didn’t apply to all servers yet. I went back to the first 3-4 servers that I had seen the branding update and it had changed back to the generic Comodo branding. I deployed the workstation profile and checked many machines - all had their branding update properly. I compared the settings between the WKS and the SRV profiles and they were identical, so I don’t know why the servers reverted back to the default settings again.

I agree with @dittoit about the problems with the field size limitations - they’re fine for me, but if they aren’t for you either don’t use them at the moment or work around them. If my support website was too long, I would shorten the URL to something else anyway.

I do agree that maybe another location would be more appropriate since it’s possible for multiple profiles to be applied to various machines and groups. However, I’m not picky and am happy for any options at this point. All other major RMM platforms have this ability.

By the way, to the people who think that private branding doesn’t work for them: fine, but others of us need it. Our clients are used to seeing our own company logo and icon on software and know that it isn’t something malicious. As soon as we rolled out the very first Comodo agents, we received dozens of support calls about the new software. When we rolled out other RMM agents in the past that we had already branded, no calls whatsoever.

@mschubeck ,

We thank you for taking time on observing this behavior. We will communicate with our Product Developers about this report in replicating the issue and as well checking for its root cause and solution. Should we need any personal information from your account, We will reach you via support email for any needed information.

Hello,

Good day to all. We were informed by our development team that the issue with the rebranding that reverts back to default icon has been resolved. May we request to verify and please let us know if the issue still exists on your end via this forum page or by sending an email to c1-support@comodo.com. Thank you

The problem does appear to be fixed for my clients - just letting everyone know.

@mschubeck ,

Thank you for giving us a response. We appreciate your feedback

Still have branding issue here

Hello @StrobeTech,

We appreciate for updating us on the current status of the branding on your environment. Our development team are aware that some of our customers are still having this error and they are continuously working especially for the affected customers. The fixed version for the branding issue will be deployed on May release (5th of May 2018). Thank you

The branding options is not working for me either. The client I’m testing on have more then one profile associated to it but only one of the profile have branding options, does the other profile that is missing “UI Settings” do so the UI Setting from the one that has not being sent out?

Hello @Noiden,

We appreciate for sharing this scenario. The profile with UI setting should take effect in this situation as long as conditions are met (please refer to the link below)

https://wiki.comodo.com/frontend/web/topic/how-to-rebrand-comodo-client-communication

We will also create a support ticket for this matter to further investigate the issue. Thank you

Try to remove the branded UI profile, wait a while to verify the change is pushed out to all clients, then add that profile back to the client. You should see the icons update at that point.

We do the same with ours, branding in its own profile.

Hi @mschubeck
We have tried this and still does not work

Hi guys, my branding settings are no longer applying?

Hi @dittoit
As of this posting, do you still experience an issue with the rebranding settings failing to apply to the endpoints?
