If un-needed parts like that are removed then the next two/three updates should check for that and clean up else we have messy computers that could be slow when trying to have old rubbish running.
@StrobeTech ,
We understand your recommendation about this concern. We’ll make certain to get an accurate information from our Developers of what the next steps should be performed.
Just put in a script request to remove the old updater.
https://c1forum.comodo.com/forum/script-library/24688-remove-old-comodo-client-updater
Hi @Joners, we will forward the request to our script writers and update you thru email and this post. Thanks.
The requested script has been made available: Remove CCC updater
NOTE:
The script is meant to be run on endpoints with CCC on version 6.17, at least. Please do not run it on endpoints with older versions of CCC.
Afraid that the script doesnt work for me, every machine ive tested on gets the following error.
"
Traceback (most recent call last): File “<string>”, line 38, in <module> ValueError: could not convert string to float: "
Hello @Joners,
We appreciate for sharing the outcome on your environment. We have informed our script developers of the error and we will keep you updated via this forum page and the related support ticket. Thank you
The script to remove CCC had been updated by our Script Writers. Please check at your convenience
Can we confirm if this is on the next update?
