Release Notes: ITarian Platform and EXDR Update - August 06 2026

We’re rolling out update for ITarian Platform and EXDR.

The deployment is expected to take approximately 3 hours. While no service interruptions are expected, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you experience any issues afterward.

Release Schedule:

Platform Updates

  • US Region Portals: August 06, 2026 – 03:00 AM (EST)
  • EU Portals: August 06, 2026 – 08:00 AM (GMT)

Windows ARM64 devices are now supported in EXDR deployment workflows.

What you can see: When managing Windows ARM64 devices, the platform dropdown on the Bulk Installation Package page and the Install/Update Additional Packages modals now reflect ARM64-specific options and availability indicators. Client – Security is marked as unavailable for ARM64, with a tooltip explaining this. The EXDR version selector is similarly adjusted, with a tooltip confirming that the latest ARM64-compatible version will be applied.

What you can do: Administrators can now generate bulk installation packages, install, and update EXDR on Windows ARM64 devices directly from the portal — with version compatibility handled automatically.

Why it matters: ARM64 Windows devices are now fully supported in your EXDR deployment and update workflows, eliminating the need for manual workarounds and ensuring the correct agent version is always installed on ARM64 endpoints.

New RBAC permission added for the “Open Chat” device action

What you can see: A new permission entry — Open Chat (devices.actions.chat ) — is now listed in Role Management under the Devices section, as a child of the existing devices.actions permission. Administrators can toggle this permission per role, and the toggle is automatically disabled if the parent devices.actions permission is off.

What you can do: Administrators can now control which roles have access to the “Open Chat” button on the device detail page. By default, the permission is enabled for Account Admin and Administrator roles. For all other roles, it is off by default and can be enabled as needed.

Why it matters: The “Open Chat” action is now fully governed by Role Management, bringing it into parity with all other device-level actions. Administrators managing delegated technician or sub-user access can now restrict or grant chat initiation on a per-role basis, closing a gap where the button was previously visible to all authenticated users regardless of role.
