Could you provide a script to rename a device? Not in the ITSM, but the actual device name.

Shouldn’t care to taken when using this script, if the machine is a member of an Active Directory domain?

I have a wonderful powershell script somewhere that a guy wrote that does a few checks like seeing if a DC is reachable, and a few other checks to make sure renaming can be done safely and then renames the computer.
I’ll see if I can dig that up and post the link in here. Might be a good thing to use in combination with C1’s procedures.
