Script to Rename Computer with BIOS data?

A long long time ago…I used a utility (Which I still do have) called wsname.exe to rename computers. It had options that allowed access and use of BIOS attributes such as tag, serial, chasis information. This would allow me to rename a computer to (for example) to the serial number stored in BIOS.
Quite useful. Here is an example…
wsname /N:$MAKE-$MODEL-$ASSETTAG-$CHASIS
Would rename to DELL-520-123456-D

So the question is: Is there a script that would allow me to do this or how can this utilities be used in a script to rename a computer?

It has options for Domains and Workgroups too.

Here is the original page.

I still have the original executable.

Thanks
