Hi,
Can I propose the following softwares please:
Thank you.
Thank you for your suggestion @com1blaster. A very important requirement considered in a third-party application is the silent installation method. If the software installer allows this, then it is likely to be added to the list. If not, then it will not be considered for inclusion and you will simply have to resort to a different method of deployment/patching.
We will forward the list to the product development team for further review. Rest assured that we will get back to you once we get word from the team. We appreciate your patience on the matter.
Thanks @Rick_C ,
Can I also suggest this please:
Immunet (http://www.immunet.com/index)
We sent your suggestion @com1blaster to the product development team for further review. Thanks!
For third-party applications, can we have an option to remove desktop icons and any auto updaters, similar to what Ninite does?
Options like: [h=4]/disableshortcuts
Don’t create desktop or quicklaunch shortcuts.[/h] [h=4]/disableautoupdate
Disable auto-update features for some apps.[/h] [h=4]/allusers
Force some apps to install for all users.[/h]
Thank you for the suggestions @RFouche. We will forward this to the product development team for further analysis if optional parameters can be implemented when deploying a third-party application.
Hi, how often does Itarian check for updates of third part software ? My windows endpoints show a warning about a new version of CCleaner available (5.71) but for the Patch Management there are not updates, it still shows 5.70 as the latest. Thanks
Hi @datalink,
Thanks for reporting. We have asked our back end team to update CCleaner to latest version and will let you know once completed.
Kind Regards,
PremJK
