If you can implement a system to reliably monitor HP ILO and SNMP it would be a massive bonus…but this was requested years ago.

Hard to say as I do not use any of these. One would have to have time to try them which I do not have.
Some ideas:
-Backup in a non-proprietary format
-Backup both bare metal images and at the file level.
-Ability to mount the backup to recover even a single file.
-For Windows Linux Mac
-Easy centralized multiclient web interface.
-Allowing backup to various cloud platforms as well as locally.
-Auto verification of backup validity.
-Ability in case of disaster to start the backup on virtual machine.
At a quick glance it seems to me that Bacula and Kopi are the most interesting.

Hello @datalink Thank you for such detailed response. After thorough analysis, we are excited to announce that Bacula is the first open-source product that we will be launching .

Hello, good! Will the backup administration console be integrated into the Itarian portal via API or will it have its own separate console?

Hello @datalink, The open-source app will have its own console for access. However, the deployment process will be automated and will be readily available for use.
