Hello everyone, we’re exploring the best Asset Management solution to integrate with our ITSM for MSPs. Which option from the list do you think would be the best fit? Looking forward to your thoughts!
Hard to say as I do not use any of these. One would have to have time to try them which I do not have.
Some ideas:
-Backup in a non-proprietary format
-Backup both bare metal images and at the file level.
-Ability to mount the backup to recover even a single file.
-For Windows Linux Mac
-Easy centralized multiclient web interface.
-Allowing backup to various cloud platforms as well as locally.
-Auto verification of backup validity.
-Ability in case of disaster to start the backup on virtual machine.
At a quick glance it seems to me that Bacula and Kopi are the most interesting.
Hello @datalink Thank you for such detailed response. After thorough analysis, we are excited to announce that Bacula is the first open-source product that we will be launching .

Hello @datalink, The open-source app will have its own console for access. However, the deployment process will be automated and will be readily available for use.

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the ITarian Marketplace—a unified platform designed to help you discover, deploy, and manage a wide range of robust IT solutions.
As part of this launch, we are introducing ITarian Cloud, an innovative capability that enables one-click deployment of curated open-source applications, specifically tailored to meet the operational needs of MSPs and IT administrators.
We are also excited to announce the availability of iTop, a powerful open-source asset management solution, now deployable in seconds through ITarian Cloud.
Where to find this Menu>Marketplace>Open Source>Asset Management>iTOP
And this is just the beginning. Hundreds of popular open-source applications are coming soon — from monitoring tools and collaboration platforms to security stacks and productivity suites.
Hi, good to see that you are really improving the platform. However, now that you have introduced the marketplace I no longer see the usefulness of the “Store” and “Partner” menu (which by the way doesn’t work).
As for the MarketPlace, I don’t understand why by entering as an MSP I also see enterprise solutions, creating confusion. Then I also see the Xcitium Device Management MSP product: does one then have to buy it here first if I have to add new machines to manage?
Not to mention the Itarian “Applications” menu which still includes obsolete products such as “Secure Internet Gateway” or the non-functioning “Total Noc Support” (and why still offer two “Service Desk” applications?)
Finally I also still find the menu under “Management”>Application” confusing.
In short I think the whole UI/UX interface of Itarian needs to be revised, thank you.
The distinction between MSP and Enterprise products for Marketplace has already been planned—MSP users will only see MSP-related offerings, while Enterprise users will view Enterprise-specific products.
When it comes to purchasing ITarian product licenses, users can continue using their existing workflows. The Marketplace serves as an additional purchasing channel. The primary focus of Marketplace is our Open-Source products integrated with the ITarian cloud.
UI/UX improvements and menu restructuring are already in the pipeline, and work is underway to implement them.
