Just adding our issues as well here: we are experiencing an inability to remote into our systems. We have ~400 devices and we have been unable to remote into them with comodo.
Thanks!
The recent outage for the remote tool does not affect office installations and only affected remote takeover functionality. Please review some OS patches on the endpoints, we had seen some reports which might correlate to a recent KB update. Try to reinstall the office application with the communication agent and AV active. Please provide us your feedback
Any ETA of when this will be fixed?? I ran around all day yesterday doing stuff that I should of been able to just log in and fix remotely.
since comodo changed to itarian, everything went down, it used to be a tool, now is a chore, is its own layer of an issue, making the users download remote access tools (when possible) is not only insecure, but it gives the worst possible image to us as ITSM providers, at this point is not only cheaper, but it can turn to better profit to change back to continuum or teamviewver, its like comodo wants to destroy this service
I have thought this same thing, especially since the tool that actually worked was discontinued, the old RMM admin console was far superior in my opinion, but against popular requests, they stopped providing support for it, and now we have to look for other alternatives to log in and help people, because there is always issues with the new software.
old rmm was the best, someone in a high position is a complete moron that should just step down, just bad moves every step of the way, now we are stuck in this mess
Well, I can tell you this, the old RMM Admin console worked almost all of the time. I like the way they are trying to go, but it just seems like issues and downtime plague the software these days.
I am also curious what happened to the post from the guy who mentioned the other remote software he uses?? That is the best post I have seen in some time, as he was sharing his alternative he uses when comodo is down, which seems to be often these days. If the software works, and Comodo is really wanting people to be able to help their clients, I would of thought they would of left it on the thread!!
a shame i could not read that, if only they have the same care into their software than they have to censor, we wouldnt be in this hole
Looks like my post was deleted. Search the Google for: showmypc It is the first result. On the homepage, click ShowMyPC Free. If using Internet Explorer, it will install the remote desktop app, other browsers it is an executable download. ShowMyPC is nowhere near a replacement for all Comodo/Itarian does, it is strictly a means to connect remotely to someone. I like this backup app as it is a very small download and easy to tell people how to get me “hooked in to them”.
Well this is insane, it’s been 24hs for me and I am unable to support my clients. I understand the product is free but there stability of this is causing me to rething the use of this tool.
Can we have more information on this?
We’ve had close to a dozen machines both onsite and offsite, that have had Office 2016 randomly disappeared (other than the Office 2016 Tools), all on Windows 10 and all managed via Comodo/Itarian. I’ve been tearing my hair out on it for two weeks now and turning up nothing online that suggests a cause.
On the positive side, I’ve been working with Remote Control without issue for the last 24 hours.
Can we get Admins to change the name of this thread to Hotbreak for Endpoint Manager???
We’re sorry to hear that you are still facing this issue with your Remote Control for over 24 hours now We understand the urgency of this case and we are hoping for your continued understanding and patience of this matter. Our development team is still working on this case and we will notify you as soon as updates are available. Thank you.
maybe they should try to destroy it, so i could work again
Hello @at211, we have also seen your other post here regarding with the MS Office installs. We have sent an email to you for us to investigate the case.
We’re also glad to hear that your Remote Control has been working now without issue.
As always, thank you for your patience and support.
Hello All,
We have been informed by our Development Team that the issue with the Remote Control has now been fixed.
When you have the opportunity, please check and confirm.
Thank you all for your patience and support.
Remote control never went down for me (Eastern US). However, now today its running so slow I cant even use it. Input response and lag up to 5 - 10 seconds. If I close the connection and reconnect its good for maybe a minute or 2. This is on multiple endpoints and on different networks. Right now its not a HUGE issue for me as I have VPN remote access workaround, but I felt I should report it.
Hi @eztech
This situation that you encountered, is this something that just occurred after updating the EM CC? (This thread is really about the recent hotfix rolled out.)
Look like all is back working as it should.
