New Feature / Improvement Requests for Comodo Patch Management

Hi @Joners

Thank you for the suggestion. We are getting these fields directly from Microsoft. Please see their definition of categories and classification on below link. It wouldn’t be safe for us to re-categorize these.

Makes sense, how about those patches with no classification? Would it be also possible to mark those patches that are in preview status so that update rings could be used? ie Preview Clients, First Release Clients, General Release.

Hello @Joners ,

I will also add your input to the support ticket created.
and we will give you an update as soon as we can.
Cheers!

Hello @Joners ,

This is actually a good idea.
I`ll forward this as a new feature request and we will give you an update about its progress.
We really appreciate all the inputs you are giving us.

Thank you very much

Hi @Joners ,

We appreciate the recommendation. We will have the team look into this as a feature request.

We will also send you an email for any update.

Under the ITSM patch management page it shows a list of application which the number of installs and those devices which can be upgraded. Could this list of all the applications that you can patch, even if the install is zero along with the application category?

Hello @Joners ,

All patches related to the devices enrolled in ITSM will be listed under the Patch Management Section under ‘Applications’; may it be installed or not.
The list of patches are for all the different OS of the endpoints.

Kind Regards,
Jay

Hello!

I would like to maintain the language of the software after update. I am from Brazil, and after 3rd Party Patch update runs, the installed softwares (e.g. Thunderbird) user interface turns out to English.

Thanks

@economicros,

We thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have forwarded your report to our Product Development team for review and analysis. We’ll provide you with their feedback as soon as possible.

Hello,
today I’d like to verify the 3rd party patch status of a Customer (with about 20 EPs),
the Customer tree is there, so I click the customer, but the patch panel remain for all EPs:

Is this behavior normal?
I think is more logic:
no selection on the tree: patch status of all EPs
selected customer: patch status of that customer EPs only
Maybe I’m missing something?
Thank you

@stefanoradam ,

By design, it should be filtered https://help.comodo.com/topic-399-1-786-11359-Install-3rd-Party-Application-Patches-on-Windows-Endpoints.html . We will investigate further. A support ticket had been created to attend to your report.

Dear partners,
I would like to suggest the following improvements for ITARIAN ITSM patch management:

  1. Ability to separately enable/disable auto-approval of OS patches/updates, for different types (critical, security, rollups, features packs, upgrades, etc.)
  2. Ability to separately enable/disable auto-approval for different 3rd party software

Hello @enterprizeit ,

Thank you for your suggestions. We have added both requests on our roadmap. We will be sharing any news about ETAs for both requests after deeper analysis.

Best regards,
Ilgaz
