Hi @zeynepyildirim

isn’t the date wrong on the post subject? Shouldn’t it be 15/16 July?

@zeynepyildirim , you also need to update your status page with the scheduled release.
https://status.itarian.com/

where is the configurable systray icon :frowning:

@resscomputer Systray icon configuration is in the GUI section of profiles - for both the ITSM client and the Security client.

Icon requirements are strict, but you can build one with Gimp; apologies if this is sucking eggs:

  • Create 32-bit, 64x64 pixel.image of your icon in any graphics package
  • Create 6 copies of this with different resolutions: 16x16, 20x20, 24x24, 32x32, 40x40, 48x48,
  • Open the largest in Gimp
  • Go to File > Open as Layers
    • Multi-select the other smaller 6 images.
    • Click Open
  • Repeat step 4, but for ALL 7 images
  • Now you have a total of 14 images, all layered on top of each other, all at 32-bit res.
  • Go to File > Export As
    • Name the file with the .ico extension
    • Click on Export
    • The "Export Image as Windows icon" dialog pops up.
      • Set the first 7 images to 8 bpp
      • Set the second 7 images to 32 bpp
    • Click on Export.
The resulting icon file will have the requisite sizes and bpps to import in to the GUI settings as the Security systray icon.

@resscomputer - Just a suggestion - and again, apologies if sucking eggs. When we clone the standard profiles for customisation, we remove the GUI settings section.
We have a separate “Branding” profile that just contains the GUI section. That is set as one of the default profiles, which saves us having to re-brand each profile separately when updated built-in/default profiles are released.

Hi. Thanks for the answer, but, i dont mean the branding of the icon. i mean to customizing the right-click-menue and add my own menu-items (url to our homepage or support-portal and so on…)

@resscomputer Interesting suggestion. As I’m sure you do already - we put that support portal, phone and email information in the About options in the branding of the ITSM systray, but only the support web site url is a live link…

What other items are you thinking to add to a context menu?

Still no notice on the status of WOL through console? was that not planned for June?

I’ve been wanting this for a long time as far as customizing the tray menu, specifically the submit ticket form. Would love to see improvements to include custom forms we create or at least a custom ticket submission form. One sorely needed feature in the submit ticket form is the ability to take a screenshot and attach files. This severely limits alot of use cases and its such a great feature to have a tray menu. We should expand it and give it more features

For example: I would love to see quick actions in the menu. Some ideas…

New “Quick Action” Menu Options

  • Take screenshot - This would allow the user (or tech at the endpoint) to quickly take a screenshot (to show errors..etc) and that screenshot would be viewable in ITSM (maybe a seperate tab) or can be configured to go to an email or ticket
  • Run Command: - This would allow running a procedure on demand by specifying the name. The procedures available would have to be configured to be available to the quick action menu (to avoid every procedure being available for users). I could also see the ability to specify a pre-set list of procedures available to run (vs specifying the name, you can just choose a short list)
  • Custom URL or Action - This would be a IT configured custom menu item that can contain any link (for example to a support page or a kb) or even runs POST or GET URL for some kind of dynamic action
  • Run Diagnostics/Send Logs - This would automatically collect important device logs, CCS logs, ITSM logs..etc and send them to the service desk or support.

Hello @resscomputer ,

First of all, we are very sorry about not being able to deliver Tray Icon Customization feature on the promised date. It is still under development and we are trying our best to deliver it as soon as we can.

This will be also possible when the initial version of configurable Tray Icon customization is released.

@eztech ,

Thank you for the great suggestions for this feature. All suggestions are mapped to our roadmap, and we will be adding those capabilities to our system as well.

We again apologize for the inconvenience and we are very grateful for your support and patience.

Best regards,
Ilgaz
